About Our Role
Due to internal growth, Simplot are seeking applicants for the position of Raw Intake Coordinator to join our Raw Procurement division based at our Ulverstone manufacturing facility. Raw Procurement comprises farming and harvesting operations to support our annual sourcing of 450,000 tonnes of potatoes and vegetables in addition to leading innovative R&D activities throughout Australia and beyond.
Reporting to the Raw Planner Scheduler & commencing early-mid January 2025, in this permanent Mon-Fri position - the Raw Intake Coordinator plans & schedules the intake of raw potatoes (sourced both direct from the farm + storage facilities) to the manufacturing plant in support of production objectives & targets. In addition, the Raw Intake Coordinator is accountable for the planning & scheduling of labour (in conjunction with the Team Leader) for both permanent employees and supplementary labour (throughout seasonal peaks).

In addition, the Raw Intake Coordinator is accountable for the planning & scheduling of labour (in conjunction with the Team Leader) for both permanent employees and supplementary labour (throughout seasonal peaks).
What You Will Do
- Daily scheduling of raw product
- Work closely with the Field Officers to coordinate the harvest of fresh raw product into storage and production
- Schedule the transfer of raw material into the production facility by matching the raw material to the plan, and by working closely with the Production Planner
- Coordinates potato storage at multiple locations in northern Tasmania
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels for supply and production
- Monitor raw inspection for accuracy in grower payment and improve knowledge of raw quality to ensure production success
- Main point of contact for scheduling loading and delivery
- Provide harvest support in monitoring receiving activity at company storages and plant
- Support training and supervision of temporary harvest labor
- Supports truck scale program troubleshooting and upgrade needs in working with all impacted parties and Company IT personnel
About You
- 100% commitment to health & safety in the workplace
- Previous experience in an agricultural production environment or logistics role would be advantageous
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with existing and new internal / external stakeholders
- Positive communication skills with the ability to clearly define scheduling activities on a daily basis
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Good understanding of MRP planning systems
- Strong planning, coordinating and scheduling experience
- Intermediate to advanced user of the MS Office suite of products (particularly MS Excel)
- Possess a current C class drivers licence
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment (incl. urine based D&A screening)
