-Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.

Job Description
-The Maintenance Coordinator (Planning) is accountable for leading a team to coordinate the planning and scheduling of maintenance work for plant and equipment and managing the development of systems to improve efficiency of maintenance processes.
You will achieve this through efficient utilisation of labour, parts and equipment resources to achieve planned equipment availability. In the medium term, the Maintenance Coordinator (Planning) will demonstrate ongoing performance improvement and contribute to developing strategies to optimise the availability of the assets.

Qualifications
-To be successful in the role it is desirable but not essential that you have a relevant qualification in Mechanical/Electrical or Mechanical/Electrical Trade Qualifications. Graduate qualifications in maintenance management and/or NDT or Condition Monitoring would also be beneficial.
Your strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, as well as your high degree of planning and problem solving, coupled with your personal commitment to key stakeholders will be key to your success in the role.
