This position qualifies for a Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (pro-rata part-time/temporary positions less than 18 months), and a reoccurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (pro-rata part time), under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.

This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.
Packages may consist of family and compassionate travel assistance, an upfront Rural Recruitment Cash Bonus upon appointment, contributions to professional development, utility reimbursements and study assistance, in addition to relocation benefits and accommodation assistance.
To recognise ongoing service in this role, once the successful candidate has served a qualifying period, they will become entitled to a reoccurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (as taxable income).

What you'll be doing

Work within a dedicated, multidisciplinary team to achieve quality care outcomes for patients of the Broken Hill Oncology and Medical Day Only Unit.
Develop your skills and rapidly progress your career with more responsibility & autonomy than you'd get in larger hospitals.

How to apply:
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible.

Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with recent Oncology experience and post-basic qualifications in Oncology or a willingness to undertake post-graduate studies within 12 months of commencement.
Demonstrated computer literacy, organisation and time management skills
Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries to the delivery of patient care in the context of a multi-disciplinary team.
Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person centred care patient care.
Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait, Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues, including current Accreditation (or capacity to undertake immediate accreditation) for chemotherapy administration
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
