Registered Nurses and Midwives - Special Care Nursery

Options exist for you to work in permanent full-time and part-time capacity (let us know in your cover letter) within the Special Care Nursery at Epworth Freemasons East Melbourne. The department consists of 9 birth suites, 10 bed special care nursery, 34 bed postnatal unit and a 6 bed hospital in the Park Hyatt Hotel and currently accommodates approximately 3,000 births per annum.
You will make an impact by:
  • Delivering an exceptional patient experience to women, their partners/families and their babies to have positive pregnancy, birth and postnatal experience
  • Providing a high standard of nursing/midwifery care
  • Encouraging and role-modelling empathy to patients and families
To be successful in this role…
An excellent communicator, you value team work and strong camaraderie as you place the patient at the heart of all your decisions. Flexibility in your thinking, patience and the ability to manage multiple priorities is vital to your success.
You will have:
  • Special Care Nursery or NICU experience
  • Relevant specialised training
  • Experience gained caring for babies requiring CPAP or high flow
  • Up to date CPAP High Flow trained
  • Current unrestricted AHPRA Nursing registration

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $68,212 - $95,776 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
