Batman's Hill on Collins is a 4-star Accor hotel in Melbourne, offering an ideal city stay for corporate, leisure and group travel guests. We are conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, right opposite Southern Cross Station. Along with 190 guest rooms, we offer our guests and visitors a fully equipped conference centre with multiple function spaces, two restaurants and a lounge bar.
We are looking for a Room Attendant/Houseperson to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will service and clean allocated hotel rooms, public spaces and operational outlets to create a welcoming and well-presented space for our guests.

Job Description

• Clean guest rooms to the hotel's high standards following a check list
• Ensure all rooms are fully stocked with guest amenities.
• Ensure towels and linen are refilled, replaced and stored correctly.
• Report maintenance requirements.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
• Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are followed

What we are looking for

• Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
• Attention to detail, taking pride in the presentation of the hotel
• Able to work in a physically demanding role which includes lifting and carrying, moving trolleys and using stairs
• Experience in housekeeping is preferred, and hotel experience would be an advantage
• As this is a part time position, you must have current working rights in Australia. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role. Students and Working Holiday Visa holders are encouraged to apply

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role
• The ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining hotel standards
• Physically able to meet the job requirements
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster
