The Opportunity
We have a newly created opportunity for a SAP Fullstack Developer to join our Sydney based SAP team.
As the SAP Fullstack Developer you will be responsible for:
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack SAP applications using SAPUI5, Node.js, Java Script, and ABAP within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) environment, adhering to cloud-native principles.
- Build dynamic, responsive UIs using SAPUI5 Freestyle and Fiori Elements, ensuring seamless integration with back-end systems through OData and RESTful services.
- Develop robust back-end services using Node.js, ABAP RESTful Application Programming (RAP), and Core Data Services (CDS), optimizing performance through ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).
- Ensure integration with external systems using BTP services such as SAP Integration Suite and SAP API Management for seamless connectivity between SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Adhere to clean core principles, developing side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP, ensuring the SAP S/4HANA core system remains maintainable and upgradeable.
- Implement CI/CD practices using tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, automating testing and deployment processes.
- Ensure security and performance by implementing OAuth2, JWT, and encryption techniques, while optimizing performance across both front-end and back-end.
- Use SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) and Visual Studio Code (VS Code) for developing, debugging, and deploying applications efficiently within the SAP BTP environment.
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of best practices and standards for SAP ABAP development.
- 3-5 years experience ABAP experience in a key ERP, preferably SAP with experience in all WRICEF objects
- 8-10 years of experience in full stack development with expertise in SAP BTP, Node.js, SAPUI5 Freestyle, Fiori Elements, and ABAP RAP
- Tertiary qualification, preferably in an IT-related discipline
- Industry qualification from SAP well regarded
- Understanding of SAP Modules like SD, MM, HR, FI etc
- Experience with SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) and Visual Studio Code (VS Code) for development and debugging
- Strong understanding of SAP BTP services, including Integration Suite, API Management, and Business Application Studio
- Familiarity with ABAP RAP, CDS, AMDP, and Dev Ops tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
