School Bus Driver / Aide

About the business
In Western Australia, Keolis Downer the proud operator of Path Transit, operate a fleet of over 400 buses on behalf of the Public Transport Authority within the Perth Metropolitan & Regional Areas.
About the role
We require applicants to enjoy working with children, be well presented with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work a split shift.
Qualifications required are:
- Hold a current MR or HR License
- Hold a current PTD
- Hold a Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one.
- Hold a First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one.
- Comply with the Work Health and Safety Act 2020;
- Daily pre-start and vehicle maintenance checks;
- Daily reporting of kilometres, Incidents, Hazards, Accidents and Near Misses; and
- Cleaning and fuelling the bus.
- Assist in the transfer of wheelchair bound students on and off the school bus.
- Supervise student behaviour on the school bus to ensure safe and secure travel.
- Secure wheelchair and student restraints in the appropriate manner.
- Attend to the individual needs of students on the school bus, including liaising with the driver on issues relating to matters such as heating and cooling on the school bus.
Pay: $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
Schedule:
- Afternoon shift
- Morning shift
- Working with Children Check (Preferred)
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
