The Aviation, Land and Maritime Transport (ALMT) Program is responsible for delivering the Aviation Meteorological Services (AMS) portfolio, which provides the aviation industry with specialised meteorological services contributing to efficient and effective aviation operations within the Australian Flight Information Regions and the Asia-Pacific Region.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated senior customer engagement specialist who understands the aviation industry sector and can build deep and solid relationships with customers at all levels within the sector so that the Bureau is best positioned to rapidly respond to opportunities.

The successful applicant will demonstrate significant experience in building customer relationships and directly engaging our airport customers at many levels to understand their needs. Additionally, the applicant will possess good communication and stakeholder engagement skills and have excellent interpersonal and project management skills. They will also have high levels of influencing and stakeholder management experience and will contribute to the strategic planning of the AMS section.

The Transport Customer Engagement Team is responsible for understanding key customer requirements, development of broad customer relationships and delivering outstanding value to customers. The primary role of the Senior Aerodrome Engagement Lead is to manage the relationships with Airservices Australia and build engagement with the airport segment, rapidly respond to customer opportunities, and develop business proposals and to communicate new offerings and facilitate their adoption by customers.

The Senior Aerodrome Engagement Lead will also contribute to the development of national and international policies related to aviation meteorological services. As a subject matter expert, they will liaise with international colleagues and lead the development of policies aligned with our national strategic objectives.

Reporting to the National Manager Transport Customer Engagement, the successful applicant will work with the other Aviation Customer Leads, and collaborate closely with ALMT Leadership Team to deliver outstanding value to the aviation industry.
