Senior Electrical Engineer

The role will require but not limited to:
- Working as part of an experienced and established electrical team to leverage previous project designs, whilst still being adaptable and able to provide innovative designs and thinking when required
- Work across a continuous succession of small and large, domestic and international projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and operations
- Preparing conceptual and detailed electrical designs of various types of ore crushing and conveying facilities and associated services
- Defining and recommending design methods, specifications, and performance of functional requirements for new projects
- Undertaking or supervising the preparation of feasibility studies, surveys and reports, design layouts, bill of quantities and cost estimates. Generating equipment specifications and support the equipment evaluation and procurement activities during project execution.
- Managing electrical discipline budget and schedule during the execution of projects in all phases of maturity.
- Carrying-out site inspections and liaising with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers. Engineering support to installation, construction and commissioning teams with the occasional deployment as a commissioning resource. Liaising with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely, accurate and cost effective delivery of projects
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
- At least 7+ years’ experience, preferably in the project design, commissioning, and onsite environments
- Experience with electrical layouts and designs, safety standards and low to medium voltage functions
- Experience in the specification and selection of electrical equipment and instrumentation for mining and processing areas
- Experience in the design of medium and low voltage equipment including motor control
- Experience in the design of single-line diagrams, electrical schematics and termination diagrams
- Electrical experience with multiple commodity types will be highly regarded
- Communication skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem solve are essential to the role
- Site-based practical experience with commissioning, operations and problem-solving issues will be highly regarded, however not essential
- RPEng, CPEng or Chartered Status will be highly regarded, however not essential
