About the opportunity
At Mercy Health, you’ll become part of a proud history built on over 100 years of expertise, skill and care. As a Senior ER Advisor, you’ll join a team of legally qualified practitioners on a range of complex ER/IR issues across our Healthcare and Aged Care services.
What you’ll bring
We are seeking a candidate with relevant qualifications in Employment Law, Industrial Relations or a related field that is able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, demonstrate our core values and be authentic and engaging in their work.
You will hold extensive experience and demonstrated competency in the following areas –

In-depth knowledge of the Australian industrial relations system, employment legislation and regulation and strong award and enterprise agreement interpretation skills.

Experience in preparation for and attending conciliations and disputes at various tribunals.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and take pride in your attention to detail.

Strong consultation, negotiation and relationship building abilities. Previous experience in enterprise negotiation is desirable.

Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently and apply sound-judgement to achieve desired outcomes.

Proficiency across the Microsoft suite of products, including Excel.

A good sense of humour and ability to connect with all types of people.
