The school also teaches in Sydney, Ourimbah and provides online delivery.
Position overview
As a Senior Lecturer, you will deliver excellence in teaching, research, and industry engagement in the areas of Tourism and event management.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Enhancing course design and delivering engaging tourism/event management courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Conducting high-impact research, of national and increasingly international standing.
  • Co-supervising Ph D students
  • Fostering industry connections to drive innovative research, work-integrated learning and graduate employment opportunities.
This continuing position is full time, based at the City Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land), with the opportunity to undertake work at our other locations as required.
The start date for this role is flexible, with the expectation you will commence by February 2025.
About you
You will have completed a Ph D in Tourism/ Event Management, or a related area, and have proven record in teaching and research at Senior Lecturer level. In addition, we would love to hear from people who have;
  • Evidence of designing and developing new curricula in tourism/event management, with an emphasis on work integrated learning and authentic assessment.
  • Evidence of submission of grant applications in the broader area of tourism/event management.
  • Evidence of successful engagement with industry stakeholders in the area of tourism/event management to inform research and teaching.
  • Experience in teaching management and or marketing.
Remuneration and benefits
The remuneration for this position is from $138,079 - $159,217 +17% superannuation.
