We're looking for an experienced Senior Consultant Mainframe Developer to join our team, helping us innovate and maintain critical systems that drive value for our clients.
Role Overview
As a Senior Mainframe Developer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications that support our clients' business needs. With a focus on COBOL, PL/I, and JCL, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that mainframe systems remain reliable, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, PL/I, and JCL.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to optimize application performance.
Ensure mainframe systems comply with banking and financial industry regulations.
Utilize database management systems, particularly IMS and DB2, to enhance system functionality.
Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in mainframe development practices.

Qualifications and Experience

10+ years of mainframe experience in the banking or financial services industry.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Advanced proficiency in COBOL, PL/I and JCL programming languages.
Strong understanding of database management systems, especially IMS and DB2.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Share Point, MS Visio and change management tools (e.g., Remedy, Service Now).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
