We are currently looking for a Senior Medical Officer - Remote Reliever to join a highly motivated team based at the Mount Isa Hospital in far North Queensland providing clinical care within the North West Hospital and Health Service.

The ideal candidate:

• Your primary role will be as the sole doctor is providing clinical care for the community. As such you will be seeing patients in three clinical settings: firstly, in a primary care clinic; secondly in the Emergency Department; and thirdly as in-patients on the ward.
• Promote a safety-supportive culture and consistently apply evidence-based
• Always consider the rights of the patients and other health care
• Participate in the 'on call' roster for the care of remote facility patients.

Pro rata remuneration package (based on f/t equivalent value) from $525,850 up to $650,288 p.a.

• Base salary rates between $409,507 and $551,644 p.a. (f/t) (L13-L27)
• Attraction and retention incentive allowance 50% base p.a. salary
• Regional and rural attraction allowance 15% base p.a. salary
• Inaccessibility allowance of $34,500 p.a.
• Motor vehicle allowance
• 5 weeks p.a. annual leave with 17.5% loading

• Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful candidate.
• VPD risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis.
• 6 months probation may apply.
