Queensland Treasury have an exciting role within our Information Services team as a Senior Security Administrator. You'll play a vital role in managing and maintaining our security perimeter products and cloud infrastructure, collaborating with a team of dedicated IT professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the ICT strategy of the department, working in a complex and evolving ICT environment

In this role, you will:

• Manage Cloud, platform and security configuration, optimising performance and installing/upgrading systems.
• Anticipate, investigate and resolve problems for supported technologies, implementing agreed remedies and preventative measures.
• Adopt a modern approach to working with technology, including automation and configuration management.
• Collaborate closely with all IT colleagues, sharing information and knowledge.
• Cross-skill in related technologies, including Palo Alto firewalls and F5 appliances.
• Follow documented ITIL practices for incident, request, problem and change activities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Treasury current operations, future business goals, and Whole-of-Government and ICT industry standards and trends.
• Employ continuous improvement methods, using feedback from outcomes and learnings to improve ICT Services

What experience you will bring:

• Experience in complex ICT environments to ITIL standards.
• Experience with security technologies including perimeter (firewalls) equipment.
• Experience with DNS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Knowledge of EDR/XDR solutions.
• Understanding of security frameworks e.g. ASD Essential 8, ISMS, ISO27001.
• Competency in high level written and verbal communications.
• Exemplary workplace behaviour and the ability to deliver reliably on allocated tasks and projects

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be are highly regarded.
