The Centre for Psychotherapy is a specialist service within Hunter New England Mental Health Service for individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and/or complex Eating Disorders (ED) and is based in Newcastle at the James Fletcher site overlooking Newcastle beach. The service is recognised for its expertise in the treatment of BPD and ED with evidence based psychotherapeutic treatments. This is an exciting opportunity for a social worker with extensive mental health experience to further develop their skills in psychotherapy to treat individuals with BPD and/or complex eating disorders. Current psychotherapies offered to consumers at CFP are CBT-E, DBT, DBT for ED, and Conversational Model therapy. We are looking for a senior social worker who is passionate about delivering evidence based psychotherapeutic care to individuals with BPD and/or complex eating disorder presentations. You may already have experience or training in DBT, CM, CBT-E and be also willing to learn new psychotherapeutic treatment modalities. You will enjoy supporting the families, carers and loved ones of those receiving psychotherapy at CFP. You will enjoy supporting social workers and other professionals in psychotherapeutic treatments with these consumer populations. The role is supported by a multidisciplinary team.
