About us:

Supporting the F-35 program, you will have opportunities for self-paced learning, workshops to develop your IT skills with a supportive team who love what they do.

Your responsibilities will include:

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator who is seeking to hone their IT skills in support of the F-35 Program.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining virtualised multi-user systems and other standalone devices within training centres. This will include but not limited to the following:

Maintaining system compliance with configuration controls and documentation.
Management and problem resolution of physical and virtualised Server Infrastructure
Maintaining various Operating Systems such as Windows & Linux
Maintaining / managing content of SQL databases
Creating and maintaining full system backups and disaster recovery
Monitoring, maintaining and optimising system performance

Maintaining and /or producing accurate system documentation
Liaising with the customer and actioning problem reports.

Able and willing to support occasional travel to Katherine, NT in support of regional training centre.

Excellent aptitude for learning and proven ability to apply knowledge.
Ability to work independently as well as contribute to team outcomes
Excellent initiative, self-motivation, and willingness to accept responsibility
Ability to adapt and maintain a flexible approach to changing needs or priorities
Ability to apply critical thinking skillsets to resolve problems
Great communication skills, both written and verbal

Essential

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent experience
Substantial experience with Windows Operating Systems and Windows Server administration
Proficient in SQL Database administration

Desirable

Experience with VMware virtualised environments
Experience with Linux OS administration
Intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain a Co A security clearance with view to eventually obtain Co A NV2 security clearance.
