About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to deliver high quality safe and culturally appropriate social work services to patients, their families and caregivers within an acute hospital inpatient and outpatient context so as to mitigate risk and optimise psychosocial outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Deliver appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise, exercise increasingly independent clinical judgement and practice. Utilise departmental supervision in line with AASW standards.
• Provide clinical education about the social work role for undergraduate students, less experienced staff and the multidisciplinary team, commensurate with level of knowledge and clinical expertise.
• Work cooperatively and effectively with patients, their families/caregivers and external agencies as a member of multidisciplinary and social work teams.
