We are looking for an experienced Lead Network Security Engineer who author and maintain detailed network security design documents, ensuring accuracy and representation of firewall configuration and deployment of security policy. You should manage escalation of complex technical issues from suppliers, operations and application teams and Contribute to the documenting of current infrastructure services.

The purpose of this role is to provide sound input and engineering design, implementation and support in order to drive excellence, quality and performance for an IT service, across one or multiple portfolios. The Staff Network Security Engineer is required to effectively build and maintain relationships with: Senior managers, Solution Designers, Network and System Engineers, Project Delivery teams and third-party vendors that provide technology services for the group.


Your wider team consists of multiple squads in the Engineering disciplines of Network Security, Partner Connectivity, Workload Connectivity, Software Defined Network, Cloud Networking, Network Automation and Workforce Connectivity.


We’re interested in hearing from people who

• Can author complex implementation plans and configuration of network security changes into CBA’s network services and devices
  
• Have experience with technology in a large complex enterprise
  
• Can mentor and support other engineers
  
  

Tech skills


We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

• Extensive experience in IT Networks
  
• Experience in Design, build and operating firewall technologies in a complex enterprise environment
  
• Extensive experience in Palo Alto/Cisco firewall technologies
  
• Experience in Ansible/python or similar technologies to automate deployment and operational activities
  
• Experience with routing and switch technologies
  
• Contributed to the development of cybersecurity requirements, design & architecture artefacts, plans and policies to uplift the bank’s security posture
