Structural/Civil Engineer for Class 2 building and house

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Strutural and Civil Engineer to join our team for Class 2 building projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of structures and civil infrastructure to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning:
- Develop comprehensive structural management plans and reports.
- Create detailed civil engineering plans for infrastructure related to Class 2 buildings, including site grading, roads, and utilities.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all designs and plans comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia (BCA).
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for development consents and building approvals.
- Project Management:
- Coordinate with architects, and other stakeholders to integrate civil and structures into overall project plans.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Site Assessment and Analysis:
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing conditions and determine appropriate structural solutions.
- Concrete pour site inspections.
- Quality Assurance:
- Inspect and monitor construction sites to ensure quality and compliance with design specifications.
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies during construction.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of designs, calculations, and project documentation.
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress, compliance, and any issues encountered.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of Australian experience, with a focus on Class 2 buildings.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as Etabs, inducta.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Primarily office-based with regular site visits.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 24 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Australia (Preferred)
