Position description

We seek an enthusiastic Laboratory Aide to join our vibrant Specimen Reception Area in Port Macquarie. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

• The role will requires a person willing to multi-skill in numerous areas
• Including unpacking, coding and preparation of pathology specimens for testing, report sorting, data entry and results phoning.
• Picking up samples from Doctor’s surgeries and Nursing Homes.
• Other tasks as required by the Section Manager.

• Is available to participate in a rotating roster (various shifts between the hours of 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday) which may include Saturday morning shifts (between 8am – 1pm).
• A hard-working, motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a team player
• Strong attention to detail with good time management skills and excellent communication skills
• A background and experience in Pathology Laboratory Services is preferred

A full (unrestricted) driver’s licence is required for driving company vehicles.
