About the role
This role requires empathy, patience, and the ability to support the client in achieving their goals for independence and wellbeing.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing emotional support to clients experiencing mental health challenges
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Implementing individualised care plans developed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitoring client progress towards their goals and reporting any concerns or changes in behaviour, delivery of medication and behaviour management
  • Teaching life skills and encouraging independence
  • Maintaining professional documentation
  • Accompanying participants to programs and medical appointment

About you
  • Experience with restrictive practice
  • Certificate Ill or IV in Mental Health/ Aged Care &/or Disability related course
  • Experience with intellectual disability
  • Valid Working with Children Check, Police Check, Working Visa, Drivers Licence, First Aid & CPR certifications
