Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily terminal activities and manage staff roster.
- Ensure efficient rail & road transport operations.
- Implement safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
- Manage the performance and development of the terminals team maintaining coverage and ensuring timely and accurate work output.
- Train and mentor terminal staff on best practices and company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise workflow and address any operational issues.
- Deal directly with customers in providing exceptional customer service
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential
- Drivers License
- Transport industry working knowledge
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- 5 or more years’ experience in leadership or management
- Excellent communication skills and analytical skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as a leader of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Managing workload, meeting deadlines and being organised at all times
- Resource allocation and management
- Conflict resolution
- Planning and Organising – plans and schedules effectively and maintains effective controls and attention to detail to ensure timely delivery of outcomes
- Teamwork and Diversity – works toward common goals in an open and collaborative and inclusive manner
- Understanding of WHS legislations as they pertain to this role.
- Previous experience & knowledge of road & rail transport industries
- Experience using SAP & technologically savvy
- Certificate IV – Business Management / Leadership
- Heavy Vehicle licence
- Reach stacker licence

- The successful candidate will have to undertake an Australian Federal Police check and Pre-Employment Medical (for certain roles) which will be arranged and paid for by SCT.
