Utility Solution Architect
Job Summary:
The Utility Solution Architect plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing technology solutions for the utility industry. You will leverage your deep understanding of utility operations, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to develop innovative solutions that address the unique challenges faced by utilities. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business needs and translate them into technical requirements for utility solutions.
- Design and architect comprehensive solutions that integrate various technologies, including grid modernization, renewable energy integration, smart grid technologies, and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI).
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and vendors to ensure successful implementation and integration of solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and security of utility operations.
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders, including senior management, and effectively communicate the benefits and impact of proposed solutions.
- Contribute to the development of industry standards and best practices for utility technology solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and implementing technology solutions for the utility industry.
- Strong understanding of utility operations, including generation, transmission, distribution, and customer service.
- In-depth knowledge of grid modernization technologies, renewable energy integration, smart grid technologies, and AMI.
- Proficiency in system architecture, design patterns, and software development methodologies.
- Experience with project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $550.00 – $700.00 per day
