Venue Sales Executive - Weddings and Special Events

This hands-on role will focus on driving and refining sales strategies, sales policies and driving revenue in our Wedding and Special Events business.
The key responsibilities of this role are
- Handle all initial enquiries regarding weddings and special events.
- Forward all venue and package information to potential clients.
- Facilitate site inspections of venues
- Conduct detail meetings with clients
- Liaise with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements.
- Prepare event agreements and any other related correspondence following on-site consultations to secure their booking.
- Preparing events sheets and floor plans and working closely with the kitchen and operations teams to ensure the event runs smoothly and exceeds the clients expectation
- Coordinate with heads of other departments like Operations Manager and Head Chef regarding logistics and limitations of each event weekly
- Invoicing and payment reconciliation.
- Provide a high level of support to function supervisors and function staff;
- Preparing of wedding and social event sales reports.
- Build relationships with external suppliers - confirm any bookings on a weekly basis
- Representation at various events and exhibitions to promote and generate new business.
- Involvement of internal events and launches
About you
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience with a real passions for Weddings and other special events
- Must have passion and drive to succeed and convert enquiries into sales
- Excellent communications skills including significant experience in preparing and presenting proposals to management level clientele
- Proven ability to work with customers and stakeholders to actively promote events and sales via multiple channels
- Superb presentation and grooming
- Strong desire to achieve results and goals
- Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work within a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication and administration skills
- Ability to think outside the box
- Ability to prioritise high volume workload
- Proficiency in using Microsoft office products (outlook, word, excel, power point.
- Full working rights with Australia.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekend availability
