We are looking for 2 Vineyard Workers to join our tight knit team!
The successful candidate must have a relevant AQF Certificate I, or compulsory secondary education. At least 2 years full time work experience in a similar role is essential.
Your duties will be as follows:
As a Vineyard Worker, you will perform routine tasks on our vineyard, which depend upon the season but include:
· land irrigation
· building trellises for climbing vines
· planting and training vines manually and by using farm machines
· operating farm machines to cultivate and fertilise soil
· operating farm machines to spray and harvest grapes
· spraying vines with chemicals to control weed growth, insects, fungus growth and diseases (we limit the use of chemicals as much as possible)
· hand picking grapes according to size and ripeness, and discarding rotting and over-ripened grapes
· grading and sorting grapes
· loading filled fruit into tanks
· pruning vines
· any other relevant ad hoc duties including cellar duties as required
You will be reporting directly to the Vineyard Operations Manager.
This is a fulltime (38 hours/week) position. However as part of the position, during Vintage (approx. January-April) you will be required to work (paid) overtime.
Annual salary: $65,835.00 + superannuation
