Job Description
Within the Finance Shared Service Center of Tessenderlo Group we are currently looking for an AP/AR Accountant, who will also assist in the VAT administration process and will be the point of contact for the HQ purchasing process.
As AP/AR accountant you are, together with the team, responsible for:

AP:
- Invoice processing:
  - Sorting of invoices
  - Scanning and validating of invoices
  - Invoice posting
  - Invoice workflow processing
  - Preparing payment vouchers,
  - Follow up and solve exceptions (payment advices, vendor invoice queries, …)
  - Post T&E notes
- Comply with the AP Closing and Reporting checklist (AP account reconciliations, Intercompany reconciliations, …)
AR:
- Cash allocation in SAP (vendor & customer payments, financial instruments, intercompany payments and interests)
- Identify cash matching improvements
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Communicate with Treasury and Credit & Collection departments
- Comply with the AR Closing and Reporting checklist (AR account reconciliations, Intercompany reconciliations, Bank account reconciliations, …)
Purchasing administration:
- Creation of purchase requisitions for the Brussels HQ
- Purchases follow-up
- Creation of goods receipts
- Follow up with masterdata for the creation of new vendors
VAT administration:
- Preparation of periodic VAT - IC declarations for different companies
- Preparation of periodic Intrastat declarations for different companies
- Knowledge of VAT legislation
- Proactive follow-up in changes of VAT regulation
- Point of contact internal VAT questions

You will report to the AP/AR Team Lead.

Qualifications

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or 1 to 3 years of AP/AR experience
Positive, driven personality and a team player;
Always willing to learn;
Strong customer focus & proactive communication skills;
You are fluent in English, Dutch & French;
Experience with MS Office;
Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
