The role of Associate Director, Business Strategy & Performance is pivotal in encouraging staff to embrace technological advancements with openness and curiosity, ensuring they are well-equipped to integrate innovative tools and processes into their daily functions. The role emphasizes the cultivation of a culture of continuous learning, inspiring Global Safety staff to proactively seek knowledge in areas impacting their work and to take greater ownership of their personal and professional development. It will also involve evaluating the proficiency of team members to ensure they are well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of pharmacovigilance practices. Through these efforts, the post holder will drive the Global Safety team towards greater efficiency, agility, and excellence.
Your key responsibilities:

Develop and implement training programs, or tailor and promote existing resources, to enhance the digital fluency of the Global Safety team

Promote a culture of openness and adaptability towards new technologies and digital tools
-
Foster a mindset of curiosity and continuous learning among team members, encouraging them to explore areas that impact their work
-
Create and manage initiatives that encourage team members to take personal accountability for their own learning and development
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of new technologies and practices
-
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes
-
Develop, implement and maintain a process for ongoing evaluation of staff proficiency
-
Chair the Global Safety AI/ML Council
-
Proactively identify and propose changes to Global Safety and Business Strategy & Performance processes to increase efficiency whilst maintaining quality
Why you?
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:-
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a related field with the relevant required experience

Proven experience in pharmacovigilance or a related pharmaceutical field, understanding of pharmacovigilance processes and regulatory requirements
-
Demonstrated experience in leading change management initiatives
-
Experience in digital transformation and improving digital fluency within teams
-
High level of proficiency with digital tools and technologies relevant to pharmacovigilance
-
Data analysis and interpretation skills
-
Excellent leadership and team management skills, Ability to motivate and influence teams to embrace change and continuous learning

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
-
Ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively

Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities

Ability to define and implement effective strategies to improve team performance and efficiency

Openness to new ideas and willingness to innovate

Flexibility to adapt to changing industry trends and organizational needs
