Calibration and Certification coordinator

Johnson & Johnson is responsible for bringing innovative medicines to patients around the world. Within J&J, E&PS FM is responsible for managing the facilities and utilities at all sites. In Belgium the scope of E&PS FM includes the sites in Beerse, Geel, Olen, La Louvière, Courcelles and Ghent.
In Ghent J&J is operating CAR-T: chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy. This is a new and innovative approach to eliminate cancer cells. It works by harnessing the power of a patient’s own immune system. That power is created from the patients’ own T cells and is engineered to eliminate cancer cells expressing a specific antigen.
The Ghent E&PS FM team manages the critical installations and facilities and utilities (steam, cooling installations, heating equipment, water systems, compressed air, high voltage, …) of/for the Ghent manufacturing hubs. The main goal of the E&PS team in Ghent is to ensure that the building and building systems are available 24/7 in a safe and compliant manner for the occupants and their activities. To join, assist and support the team, the EP&S FM team in Ghent is recruiting a calibration and certification coordinator for the 2 production sites in Ghent and the future expansions. The position will be based in Ghent (Belgium), reporting into the facilities manager. Close collaboration with the E&PS FM team based in Beerse is required and useful.
1. Function - general:
o Together with the project engineer, you are responsible for the planning, follow-up and management of small site projects. Financial tracking is done by the project engineer.
o Preparing the regular slowdowns and shutdowns will be a big part of your job responsibilities.
o You will keep track of requests, improvements, … raised throughout the period before the upcoming slowdown/shutdown.
o Together with the shutdown lead, you will collect slow/shutdown-related requests from the various stakeholders.
o You have an overview of the upcoming routine maintenance.
o The final planning is coordinated with the various stakeholders.
o A large portion of your role will be the planning and the organization of the required calibration and validation activities for the 2 production sites. These activities take place mainly during slowdown or shutdown activities.
o You are responsible for the supervision of contractors, including the preparation of the required work permits related to their work.
o You are an example regarding safe behavior at work.
o You continuously monitor quality and compliance of executed works in close consultation with the C&Q engineers, through the modification process.
o You strive for continuous inspection readiness.
o You participate in the daily alarm meeting and together with the facility coordinators priorities are then determined.

Qualifications

o You hold an engineering degree or a technical bachelor's degree, both coupled with some years of relevant experience in a technical position.
o You have at least 8 years’ experience with calibration and certification activities and all related aspects. You possess excellent planning skills in order to establish a complex planning script together with the many stakeholders involved.
o You are innovative and have a pragmatic outlook.
o You are inquisitive and eager to learn.
o CMMS(SAP) knowledge will help you.
o Knowledge of energy and utilities, water systems, electrical and automation, ATEX and HVAC is an asset.
o Knowledge of Gm P, as well as requirements around compliance is a plus.
o You work well with internal partners (EHS², quality, engineering, ...) and external partners (contractors, sector organizations, ...).
o You are flexible and results-oriented and can work independently to achieve certain objectives.
o You know how to deal with continuously meeting tight timelines. You are eager to learn, motivated and extremely stress resistant.
o You are willing to accept peak loads that manifest themselves in long days and long weeks and this several times per year (the shutdowns).
o You possess an outspoken ‘can do’ mentality.
o You take the initiative and, besides being an independent employee, you are a real team player who, together with colleagues, achieves results and contributes to a pleasant working atmosphere.
o You possess some knowledge of budget management. You are an excellent planner and you are not afraid of administrative tasks.
o You are highly communicative, both written and spoken.
o Besides having a perfect command of Dutch, you speak and write English fluently.
