Flexcity, a European leading energy technology company within the Veolia Group is looking for a dynamic Energy Growth Hacker to join our Product Team.
Due to the increased amount of renewables, companies are on a journey from baseload energy users to active energy traders. In particular, four types of companies embark on this journey: Electr-intensive, Heat, Battery, and Renewables. To help them through that journey, it is essential to amplify and simplify the journey - that is where Flexcity comes in.
Flexcity is a frontrunner in energy innovation. It has its own platform, optimisers and hardware that allow it to fully automate the operation of its portfolio. Flexcity is continuously expanding the services it offers its clients. The services now include ancillary services (FCR, a FRR, m FRR), energy markets (DA, ID, IMB), congestion management, load-shifting etc..
This Growth Hacking position offers the opportunity to join the Flexcity operations in Belgium, within a team of highly skilled Portfolio Managers and and Project Managers from different backgrounds.


Job Description
You will become an internal expert in the valorization possibilities, technical characteristics, and business cases involving emerging technologies such as Batteries, e Boilers, and Renewables.

You will use this expertise, your strategic vision and on-the-ground commercial discussions with clients and partners to develop/expand Flexcity’s product offering and improve Flexcity’s market positioning with regard to these emerging technologies.

You take on a jack-of-all-trades role and will work on diverse topics related to the business development of these emerging technologies, such as contract design, value analysis, and coordination with our developers, data team and portfolio managers to design and deliver on the perfect product offering as followed :

• 
  You will be part of the cross-border Product Department
  
• You become an expert in the valorization possibilities, technical characteristics and business cases involving emerging technologies.
  
• You identify and select the suitable product/model to respond to the market’s need concerning the valorization of the flexibility of new technologies and help create a packaged offering in collaboration with our sales teams.
  
• You identify the best optimisations of emerging technologies with the data and local portfolio teams.
  
• Take the lead in sales of complex customers, including the ad hoc simulations
  
• You help drive international sales and business development of the new technologies
  
• You interact with our developers and portfolio team to develop the products required
  
• You stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies within the energy sector to ensure our products remain competitive.
  

Qualifications

• 
  You have a get-it-done mentality and address challenges proactively
  
• You combine a strong analytical mindset with a commercial mindset
  
• You have a great affinity for both the energy sector and technology.
  
• Fluent in English, Dutch or French
  
• Your have a technical background, such as engineering, business engineering, etc..
  
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
  
• You are flexible, not afraid to think outside the box, and love sharing your knowledge.
  
• You are deliverable-focused with a pragmatic and professional attitude.
  

Nice-to-have

• You have experience in product management or in business development
  
• Data analysis experience (Python, sql etc..)
  

Travel

• You will be required to travel, among others, to Paris, Amsterdam and Caen regularly.
