About the role:
We are looking for a seasoned C++ Developer to join our e Blox payroll product team, which drives Belgium’s leading payroll solution for medium to large organizations. You’ll play a key role in enhancing and maintaining our systems, working across the entire software lifecycle, from design to deployment, while also contributing your ideas for new technologies and improvements.
We collaborate seamlessly across locations in Belgium (Antwerp) and Poland (Katowice). English is our “lingua franca”. As a team member, you’ll often find yourself immersed in English during remote meetings, user stories, and documents. You have the flexibility to work from home, alternating with working from our office in Antwerp at least once a week and occasionally spend several days in the office.
Which tasks can you expect?

• Enhance, maintain, and refactor legacy system in C++
• Contribute during all phases of the product lifecycle, from ideation and development to maintenance
• Work with business counterparts to provide technical solutions to customers' needs
• Troubleshoot, debug, develop and deploy updates and fixes

What do you have to offer?

• Several years of experience in C++ development in complex software environments
• Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)
• Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, templates, and multithreaded programming
• Experience with libraries like STL, Boost, MFC
• Proficiency in TDD and tools like GIT/SVN, databases (Btrieve, MS SQL), and profiling tools (e.g., Vtune)
• Degree in IT or equivalent experience

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins)
• Visual Studio development
• Scripting languages (Python)
• Knowledge of payroll systems or interest in the payroll domain
