• In the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, preferably in programming.
• Able to communicate with people at all levels in a professional and mature manner.
• A team player who is able to work independently.
• Interested in at least one of the four internship topics.
• You live in Belgium.

Note that we are only looking for two interns. Candidates can specify which of the four topics they are most interested in.

Topics

Topic 1: The state of cloud workflows
Abstract: As an intern, you will play a crucial role in analysing and evaluating how to deploy and manage workflows across different Azure compute environments. This internship focuses on gaining a comprehensive understanding of various workflow offerings, how workflows are structured, the development experience, and identifying the most suitable use cases. You will also assess their efficiency and maintainability.
You will collaborate with various teams to gather data, map workflows, identify bottlenecks, and discuss potential scenarios. Additionally, you will develop multiple proof of concepts (POCs) to compare technologies and evaluate their effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop proof of concepts and conduct a detailed assessment of existing workflows engines and their key functionalities.
• Work closely with technical teams to gather insights about the current implementations at customers.
• Analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of workflows, identifying areas for improvement.

Learning Outcomes:

• Gain a deep understanding of how to develop, run and manage workflow on Azure and on containerized environment (e.g. Kubernetes)
• Learn to assess whether a technology aligns to operational processes.
• Improve communication and collaboration skills through interaction with different teams and stakeholders.

Topic 2: Application Landing Zone for Azure Container Apps
Abstract: Are you passionate about cloud computing and eager to make a real impact? During your internship, you will be part of the process to streamline & mature the posture in our Azure Cloud Native Container Apps offering.
This internship provides the opportunity to design and deploy secure, scalable environments for Azure Container Apps on Microsoft Azure. You’ll collaborate with experienced Cloud architects & our “Center of Excellence” throughout the entire deployment lifecycle, including designing, building, testing, and deploying.
You’ll focus on understanding the best practices, templates, and configurations needed to establish a production-ready Azure Container Apps environment that meets security and compliance requirements. You will also work on integrating Azure resources, with virtual networks, subnets, security groups that are designed to work together to provide a secure and compliant environment for deploying and managing Azure Container Apps workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Transforming functional requirements towards mature Cloud Native offerings by building tools & pipelines
• Working closely with technical teams to gain insight and adapt the solution you are building to these recommendations
• Building & assessing your newly built accelerator’s related to Azure Cloud Native containerized solutions

Learning Outcome

• Deep understanding on how to implement production-ready network integrated, Azure containerized environments
• Improve analytical mindset to assess & adapt solutions to functional and compliancy requirements.
• Strong knowledge in Azure Dev Ops Pipelines, Git Hub, Azure Bicep, Power Shell and much more
• Improve communication skills through interaction with different teams across several Codit entities.

Topic 3: Data governance best practices and tools in Azure
Abstract: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team and explore the best practices and tools for data governance in Microsoft Azure. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with Azure’s robust data governance framework, including data cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and compliance management. You will work closely with our data team to research, implement, and document effective data governance strategies, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility. By the end of the internship, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of data governance strategies and the practical skills to implement them using Azure tools. This experience will prepare interns for roles in data management, analytics, and compliance, contributing to the overall data strategy of any organization.
Key Responsibilities:

• Research and Analysis: Investigate current data governance best practices and tools available in Azure. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation on data governance strategies, including data cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and compliance management.
• Implementation: Assist in the implementation of data governance tools and practices within the Azure environment. This includes setting up data catalogs, defining data lineage, and ensuring data quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the data team to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data governance solutions.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure that all data governance practices comply with relevant regulations and security standards. Help in monitoring and auditing data governance processes.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understanding Data Governance: Gain a deep understanding of data governance principles, including data cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and compliance management.
• Azure Proficiency: Develop proficiency in using Azure’s data governance tools and services, such as Azure Purview, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, etc.
• Practical Implementation Skills: Learn how to implement data governance strategies in a real-world Azure environment, including setting up data catalogs and ensuring data quality.
• Compliance and Security Awareness: Understand the importance of data compliance and security, and learn how to ensure that data governance practices meet regulatory standards.
• Collaboration and Communication: Enhance collaboration and communication skills by working closely with a data management team and other stakeholders.

Topic 4: Copilot for Invictus
Abstract: The goal of this internship is to design and implement a Copilot for Invictus, a dashboard that provides insights and analytics of your integration layer within your company. The Copilot will leverage Azure Open AI and Semantic Kernel to enable users to interact with the dashboard through natural language queries, enhancing user experience and accessibility. During this internship, you will work on creating a Copilot that can answer user queries about business and operational data, such as "What are my top 3 alerts over the last 3 months?" or "Which flows are mostly failing?". The project will involve integrating Azure Open AI with the Invictus dashboard, accessing logs stored in Cosmos DB, and updating the front-end to support chatbot functionality (Optional).
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with experienced cloud architects and the Invictus product team to design and implement the Copilot.
• Integrate Azure Open AI with the Invictus dashboard to enable natural language queries.
• Access and process logs stored in Cosmos DB to provide relevant insights.
• Update the front-end of the Invictus dashboard to support chatbot functionality.
• Ensure the solution meets security and compliance requirements.

Learning Outcomes:

• Enhanced User Experience: Users will be able to interact with the Invictus dashboard using natural language, making it more intuitive and accessible for non-technical users.
• Improved Data Insights: The Copilot will provide accurate and timely insights based on user queries, helping users make informed decisions.
• Increased Efficiency: Automating the process of querying and analyzing data will save time and reduce the manual effort required to extract insights from the dashboard.
• Scalability: The solution will be designed to handle a large volume of queries and data, ensuring it can scale with the growing needs of the business.
• Security and Compliance: The Copilot will adhere to security and compliance standards, ensuring that sensitive data is protected and regulatory requirements are met.
