Next Kraftwerke GmbH

Product Owner (f/m/d)

Vorst

FULL TIME & PART TIME

October 10, 2024

We are looking for a driven, autonomous energy enthusiast to join our team in Brussels as owner of a specific product or group of products we sell to our customers. As Product Owner you are the single point of contact related to all aspects of the product: from market and regulatory design to process implementation, contracts, invoice computation, market dynamics and further development. At this moment, we look for a product owner specifically for the products related to market access, steering and power purchase agreements. You will work with and be supported by our expert colleagues and can expect a steep learning curve. Depending on your drive, knowledge and personal interest, your duties and responsibilities will evolve quickly.
Whether full-time or part-time – let us know how we match up on this point.

This is what you like
  • You take full ownership of one or more of our services, including follow-up on product’s profitability. You ensure it meets the needs of our customers and work with internal and external stakeholders to keep the service up to date to the ever-evolving energy markets and regulatory requirements while keeping our competitive edge.
  • You support our business development, technical and sales teams with expertise and data analysis, e.g. during the preparation of offers or the development of new services. You will be given the opportunity to extend your scope to sales activities as well.
  • You participate in working groups e.g. of Elia and ensure that market changes are translated into our existing products or lead to the development of new products.
  • You support our innovation projects, such as valorising the flexibility of batteries, electric vehicles, hydrogen electrolysers.
  • You constantly improve your knowledge and expertise of the electricity and ancillary service markets and share it to the relevant internal stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner.
  • You ensure that the collaboration with our teams at our headquarter (Cologne, Germany), who will support you in all your tasks, is efficient and leads to the best possible customer experience. You travel to Cologne when necessary to enhance collaboration with the teams.
These are your qualifications and skills
  • You have a master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineer, Business Engineer, Bio Engineer, Economy, Maths, Physics, ...)
  • A first working experience is an advantage, however this is not required as we attach equal importance to drive, enthusiasm and the ability to demonstrate the necessary skills.
  • You are eager to learn, motivated, and you are passionate about the energy sector and the transition to a net zero energy system.
  • You like the mix of being a hands-on and proactive problem-solver and analyse certain topics in more detail.
  • You are autonomous, but with a strong team spirit.
  • Basic knowledge in programming (e.g., VBA or Python) is an asset but not required.
  • You speak Dutch and are fluent in English. Speaking French is a plus.
This is what our colleagues say
What I love about my job is the variety of tasks going from operational work to strategic project decisions. In this role I am at the intersection of markets, technologies and regulations. I am encouraged to take ownership and drive projects forward and I can always rely on the team for support. This mix between autonomy, challenge and teamwork makes my job truly fulfilling.”
Laura Van den Berghe, Product Owner at Next Kraftwerke Belgium
What's in it for you?
We offer you a friendly team in which you have much room to contribute your ideas, as well as a challenging and varied job with a high level of personal responsibility. Join us in shaping the energy transition in Europe. If this job description suits you, please send us a detailed application via the link below.
