We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Project Engineering team. In this position you take up an active role in in the execution of container terminal automation projects worldwide. The role involves design, installation and commissioning of our automation solutions. The ideal candidate is a motivated engineer with a strong electro-mechanical technical foundation, hands-on experience, willing to travel worldwide and a keen interest in developing their career in project engineering / project management. In this role, you will report directly to the Project Engineering Team Lead and you closely collaborate with the project managers.
Key Responsibilities:

You define, design and calculate high-quality project engineering documentation, located in our HQ in Belgium (mechanical -, electrical -, IT -, and hardware production design, Health & Safety documentation and other deliverables).

You build and maintain a strong understanding of Camco products and Camco automation processes.

You travel to our customers for on site design workshops, supporting the project managers.

You take on on-site mechanical and electrical installations of of our automation solutions, working alongside the project technicians and subcontractors.

You ensure on-site commissioning and Go Live support of of our automation solutions, working alongside the project technicians and subcontractors.

You work alongside project managers, project engineers, project technicians, software solution integrators, solution deployers and other team members to deliver the automation projects worldwide within planning, budget, scope and according to contractual quality and HSE standards.
Profile
-
You have a master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

You have 2-5 years of experience in electromechanical engineering or a related field

Familiarity with terminal automation systems or similar industrial applications is a plus.

You know Autodesk Inventor / Auto CAD, EPLAN or similar, familiarity with SCIA Engineer for structural calculations is a plus. And you are eager to learn and further develop your technical skills

You are willing to travel worldwide (30%), possibly multiple consecutive weeks.

You are hands-on, committed, problem-solver, result-driven, persevering, customer-focused, can work independently and in team.

You have a strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

You like to work in a process-driven environment (ISO 9001 context).

You have strong organizational and time-management skills.

You have good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Dutch. And you are an excellent team player who likes to take initiative.
