The Scientist is expected to design and execute scientific studies in support of technical programs as they progress from early development into Phase I/ II, Phase III, technology transfer and process performance qualification at the intended commercial site. He/she ensures state of the art scientific/technological development in line with Qb D strategy in expertise. Plans, co-ordinates and participates to experimental activities according to defined priorities.
Is responsible for the quality of data and presentation of results to external audience

Your responsibilities:

• Design and execute specific development projects in collaboration with the related platform staff, following the Quality by Design framework.
  
• Responsible for the conception, design, implementation, and interpretation of scientific and technical data to support own area projects.
  
• Collaborate with related platform staff to design, implement, and interpret the data from development workstreams.
  
• Contribute to bring new analytical technologies to the platform, allowing innovation and new ways of working.
  
• Automate analytical workflows as sample preparation (using Hamilton systems) in collaboration with automation teams.
  
• Make sound scientific/technical based on a balance of data, analysis, and experience.
  
• Function effectively as a core team member on several projects and leads small projects and established work processes.
  
• Solve complex problems through collaborations with others, taking a new perspective on existing solutions.
  
• Provide guidance to new team members including internship students and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  
• Interact and act in a complex matrix with several stakeholders from different departments (Research & Development, QC, Regulatory, QA) and countries (Italy, US, Belgium) as well as external CMO/CROs.
  
• Prepare and present scientific data within Technical R&D / Technical Development team or in technical taskforce.
  
• Author and review technical protocols and reports in support of various project development stages.
  
• Utilize technical process knowledge to meet regulatory requirements appropriate for stage of development.
  
• Communicate effectively within TRD and with external stakeholders.
  
• Encourage adaptation and proactive promote the Gx P / EHS / QA rules application.Ensure that SOP are being updated, applied and followed by the team.
  

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• Ph D with 0+ years of experience OR MS with 3+ years of experience OR BS with 6+ years of experience
  
• Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related scientific field
  
• Good understanding of biopharm / vaccine development process
  
• Good understanding of Qb D and experience in GMP lab (or GMP mindset)
  
• Must have the ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
  
• Proficiency in written and spoken French and English.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Experience in technology transfer and industrialisation is a plus.
