Senior Emulsion Polymer Scientist

to our R&D team.
Key responsibilities for this role include
• Design and develop water based acrylic emulsion polymers for coatings, sealants and adhesive
- Execute experimental development of new emulsion polymers from early concept to
- Give support to product and manufacturing problems
- Formulation of next generation emulsion polymers
- Present data at internal and external meetings
- Collaborate with R&D teams globally
- Report to the R&D Director
• Ph D or Master degree in polymer chemistry
- Minimum 10 years of experience within emulsion polymer synthesis
- Insight into the European coatings landscape is a plus
• Strong knowledge of emulsion polymer synthesis
- Structure-property understanding for a variety of coatings, sealant and adhesive
- Innovation and creative problem solving skills
- Management skills – manage other chemists that work on the same or similar project
- Collaboration within the R&D team
- Proficiency with analytical and mechanical characterization of emulsion polymers
- Project planning
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in English
