Emulsion Polymer Scientist

Key responsibilities for this role include
• Design and develop water based acrylic emulsion polymers for coatings, sealants and adhesive
- Execute lab experiments for the development of new emulsion polymers
- Detailed written reporting of lab experiments
- Give support to product and manufacturing problems
- Formulation of next generation emulsion polymers
- Collaborate with R&D teams globally
- Report to the Senior Emulsion Polymer Scientist
• Master degree in polymer chemistry
- Minimum 5 years of experience within emulsion polymer synthesis
• Experience in emulsion polymer synthesis
- Structure-property understanding for a variety of coatings, sealant and adhesive
- Innovation and creative problem solving skills
- Collaboration within the R&D team
- Proficiency with analytical and mechanical characterization of emulsion polymers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in English
• Working place is in Houthalen, Belgium
