Are you an experienced tax professional with a keen eye for detail? Circle K Belgium is looking for a dedicated Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of tax-related tasks and work closely with various departments within our company.
Your tasks:
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT and Intrastat reports
- Manage corporate tax and deferred tax provisions, calculations and filings and coordinate quarterly prepayments with treasury. Ensure compliance by checking disallowed expenses.
- Maintain accurate tax provisions and transfer pricing documentation
- Handle dividend declarations and excise duty filings
- File statutory accounts and statistical forms
- Reconcile IFRS vs BEGAAP taxation
- Analyze tax documents and financial statements
- Identify potential tax savings and opportunities
- Assist in audits and tax inspections
- Provide internal support on tax queries and support of the shared service center tax team in Riga
- Develop fiscal reports and presentations for management or clients.
Your responsibilities:
- Oversee all tax matters for the 3 entities of Circle K Belgium.
- Meet deadlines and reporting requirements with a high sense of responsibility and flexibility.
- Collaborate with accountants based in our shared service center in Riga and the Global Tax Team based in Canada. Work closely with our Accounting manager in Brussels.
- Continuous knowledge update on tax law is essential for analyzing complex issues and developing effective solutions.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in accounting, tax or related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in filing and submitting taxes to Belgian authorities portals.
- Sap or Oracle JDE knowledge and previous experience in the fuel and/or retail industry are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, an eye for details and results-oriented mindset. Ability to work autonomously.
- Real team player, able to bridge the collaboration with local team and business center teams.
- Fluent in English and either French or Dutch, good knowledge of the other language (Dutch/French).
