Vaccines CMC Performance Lead

Job Purpose
The Vx CMC Performance Lead role will drive monitoring of Vx CMC portfolio delivery performance, enable identification of key bottlenecks in portfolio delivery, drive transversal continuous improvement for efficient CMC portfolio delivery, shape building of CMC project leadership capabilities and manage key operational elements for Technical development Delivery (TDD) function in TRD.
The strategic leadership and capability development placed into this role requires an enterprise leader that is a natural global worker who is self-starting and able to influence and collaborate across functions, seniority levels and locations in GSK.
Your responsibilities:
- Drive project and portfolio delivery performance monitoring through establishment and maintenance of performance dashboards.
- Benchmark the CMC productivity and performance with other similar capabilities in GSK and externally.
- Working closely with CMC project leaders identify opportunities to accelerate CMC delivery across different phase of clinical development and drive implementation.
- Drive implementation of key initiatives within TRD and at interfaces with partner functions to improve efficiency of CMC delivery, including regulatory submissions and CTM supply chain.
- Champion implementation of Vaccines CMC operating model.
- Drive functional capability development of TDD globally to ensure TDD function meets requirements of global Vx RD in project and portfolio delivery.
- Develop and lead key business operation and quality processes for the TDD function including management monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to exploit continuous improvement and agile methodologies in the TDD function to increase efficiency and value delivered from the function.
- Drive CMC project leadership engagement for best practice sharing.
- Drive organizational strategy across TDD function to ensure strategic alignment of the function to TRD and organizational priorities.
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in scientific or business discipline
- 10+years in vaccines or biopharmaceutical industry with specific, demonstrated experience, in portfolio management
- Experience in transformation and continuous improvement projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience with at least one of the following key areas: Line and Matrix Management, Business Operations, Project and Program Management, Change Management, Performance Management, Resource Management, Risk Management, Financial Management, Strategy Development and People Management / Development.
- Experience with Power BI
- Leadership of complex projects with significant organizational impact and proven track record leading the delivery of multiple projects/assignments to demanding deadlines with minimal direction/leadership
- Track record and experience in the development and delivery of training and capability development, particularly in highly technical or science-based fields
- Ability to constructively challenge practices with senior leaders; drive appropriate process improvements; and integrate standardization/customization appropriately.
- Proven strategic & enterprise thinking with strong business acumen.
- Experience working independently with executives and the ability to quickly build personal credibility and assimilate business issues/need.
- Effective verbal, written, presentation communications skills.
