We are hiring a Backend Software Engineer to our Access team in Brazil!
This position is for the Access Team, which is responsible for ensuring access to our clients' employees, as well as their families. Our flow has an important role in the Wellhub's growth and that's why we are constantly working and searching for new solutions to offer an intuitive and simple experience to verify the eligibility and sign up our members. The signup flow occurs mainly in the web environment, because of that our team has little contact with native development, currently our team of developers is distributed in two stacks, back-end and front-end.

YOUR IMPACT

• Help to define the architecture of systems and integrations, bring innovation to the table, and making sure design docs are up to date;
• Ensure successful deliveries, and promote the long-term technical health of our journeys;
• Ensure a high bar on code quality standards, making sure devs are proud of their work;
• Spread development best practices such as code reviews, pair programming, TDD, etc;
• Build reusable code for future use;
• Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production;

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;
• Experience designing and developing complex modern web applications;
• Experience with at least two different programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, Golang or Scala;
• Experience with microservices and high volume distributed systems;
• Experience in developing RESTful web services collaborating with front-end teams to create mocks, define payloads, and HTTP status of APIs;
• Experience with SQL/No SQL technology such as Postgre SQL, My SQL, Dynamo DB, understanding common use cases and performance pitfalls;
• Experience dealing with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as Rabbit MQ, KAFKA, and an in-depth understanding of their use cases and pitfalls;
• Experienced in implementing prototypes and in practices and concepts such as MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles for rolling-out features to production;
• Experience applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis;
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and KPIs tracking;
• Experience with Cloud-based architectures in the AWS;
• You have well developed communication skills, you are capable of clearly articulate ideas when communicate to groups;
• Ability to communicate in English.
