About the role
As a member of the Content Acquisition team, the Content Acquisition Manager will be responsible for assisting in the sourcing of programming acquisition deals across a range of content and business models for Roku’s free, ad-supported linear channels and related assets. The ideal candidate will have a passion for analytics to drive deal value forward. In addition, the candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities, is a strong communicator comfortable with interfacing with senior-level executives both internally and externally and pays extreme attention to detail.
What you’ll be doing
- Work closely with key ad-supported linear business leads to identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities for Roku’s content portfolio.
- Assist in all aspects of content acquisition and licensing for assigned accounts, including deal sourcing, financial analysis and forecasting, drafting proposals, long-form review, contract negotiation, new partner onboarding and implementing deal requirements post-signature.
- Provide partner support for existing accounts, including conducting business reviews for tier 1 partners, sending payout reporting and coordinating between partners and Roku Operations on channel and content deliveries.
- Support the identification of areas of growth for new, innovative partnerships and establish strong relationships with relevant licensors at the decision-making level.
- Work closely with senior-level personnel preparing strategy documents, company updates, and presentations about the business and the media landscape.
- Perform other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
We’re excited if you have
- 4+ years of experience in content licensing, content sales, content distribution and/or business development in the entertainment industry.
- Strong knowledge of the digital video and OTT advertising landscape in Brazil, including online video platforms and linear OTT channels.
- Extensive experience negotiating business terms with media, digital, and/or technology companies.
- Strong knowledge of existing deal standards and ad economics in the market.
- Existing senior-level relationships with major Studios and distributors in Brazil.
- A passion for content and a strong understanding of content licensing for the Brazil market.
- Excellent data analysis and quantitative skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfort with a quickly changing, fast-paced environment.
- Business fluency in Portuguese required, business fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.
- BA/BS required.
