About the Role

As the

Head of Engineering

, you will lead Warmly’s engineering team through its next growth phase. Your mission will be to combine technical vision with strategic leadership, building a resilient team, while aligning engineering efforts with product goals. You will be focused on fostering collaboration across functions (mainly product, design, sales, customer success), managing engineering and QA talent, and driving quality at scale.

Our app engineering team is based in the US/Brazil (ex. meet our Tech Leads

of Immagnify), our QA team is based in Pakistan, and we have a fractional Dev Ops Agency we partner with. We all work US hours.

We have some exciting technical challenges ahead of scaling our systems, integrations & data. We process millions of real-data website visits/day, orchestrate tens of thousands of automated AI sales & marketing campaigns/day and sync hundreds of customer’s CRMs and email platforms.

About You

You are a strategic business executive who understands deeply the nuts and bolts of a product and how it can achieve the vision of the company

You were the director of engineering at a Series B or above startup, when the startup 3X’d its revenue in 1 year.

You were one of the pillar senior engineers/tech leads in our techstack at a Series B or above startup, when the startup 3X’d its revenue in 1 year.

You have proven best practices that will put Warmly in the 95th percentile of product/engineering teams.

You are able to get into the weeds whether that’s people, technology, or product to help the team discover 10x rather than 2x solutions.

You hire and uplevel incredible people.

You care deeply about cycle time.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Vision & Strategy

Define and implement the technical roadmap aligned with product and business goals.

Make future-proof architectural decisions that balance scalability with agility.

Maintain high standards in code quality and shipping velocity through continuous iteration on processes.

Leadership & Team Development

Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers whose skills align with the business needs.

Foster a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and collaboration.

Create opportunities for knowledge sharing to reduce dependencies on individuals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to align technical and business objectives.

Act as the engineering voice in strategic discussions with leadership, ensuring technical feasibility and prioritization.

Operational Excellence & Scalability

Implement efficient workflows to optimize team output and improve delivery timelines.

Monitor and manage engineering budgets and resources effectively.

What We’re Looking For

Ideally: you’ve scaled 2+ B2B SAAS startups from Series A to Series D (7 to 40+ engineers).

4+ years as a senior engineer/tech lead

3+ years in a director or above role leading engineering teams

Excellent with

Type Script, Node.js, React

, and relational databases like

Postgre SQL

.

Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams, especially in Saa S environments.

Strong leadership skills with experience setting goals, managing performance, and fostering accountability.

Ability to manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and improve operational workflows.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
