The Operations Leader is responsible for effectively leading all functions related to conversion production activities within the area and developing cross-functional partnerships to improve the plant's safety, quality, productivity, and reliability across a 24/7 operation. The Operations Leader will be accountable for maintaining effective KPI's, driving FP&R standards, following the Production Planning, and complying and leading conversion improvements in the areas of safety, product quality, operations reliability, absolute material losses and cost per ton.
What you will do:
- Manage labor resources and conversion cost.
- Maintain effective Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measurements for the plant, tracking and reporting tools, and establishes corrective action for continuous improvement.
- Manage Resources to achieve Area Operational Excellence Goals
- Lead the development of process improvements and optimization (throughput, losses, quality, and cost).
- Leading the achievement of area KPIs by working with shift leaders and peer to translate business needs into daily operations and creation of technical solutions.
- Empower operational teams by way of training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, appraisals and delegation, to ensure the development of people, skills, teams and organizational capabilities.
- Support Quality Assurance in the area identifying quality defects and driving resolution internally and with suppliers to improve material quality.
- Ensure effective communication within the teams
- Support plan and manage production schedule
- Support Design and Implementation of new projects
- Implement Reimagine Strategies
- Deliver FTG Savings
- Understand and comply with Colgate's policies, safety standards, quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and FP&R standards.
- Support new technologies implementation
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Solid Experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience Leading people
- Written and spoken english (at least Intermediate)
- Communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Presentation skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) or Google Suite (docs, slides, sheets).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Financial knowledge
- Production Planning understanding
- Plastics Injection knowledge
- SAP system
