Role Summary
The Senior Buyer/Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement operations of the organization. This role involves the strategic sourcing of goods and services, negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the efficient transportation of products. The specialist works closely with vendors, internal teams, and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. The role involves key deadlines for delivery of projects and attention to detail and timeous execution is of utmost importance.

Role Summary
The Senior Buyer/Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement operations of the organization. This role involves the strategic sourcing of goods and services, negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the efficient transportation of products. The specialist works closely with vendors, internal teams, and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Essential Responsibilities
Procurement Management:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships with key vendors.
- Source and purchase goods and services required by the organization, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Support general company procurement requirements including but not limited to office services and requirements
- Plan and manage the logistics of product distribution, including transportation, warehousing, and hands-on inventory control.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure sufficient inventory levels.
- Coordinate and manage project specific procurement with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of goods and services.
- Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Manage contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and logistics.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain, vendor management, purchasing or operations.
- As a Senior Buyer/Procurement Specialist, you will support logistics and manage procurement for the supply chain, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services.
- This role offers hands-on experience across logistics operations, procurement processes, and supply chain management. You will work closely with various departments to help coordinate shipments, inventory management, vendor relations, and procurement activities.
