Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for an Tax analyst in São Paulo, SP – Brazil to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Tax analyst you will Assist in all aspects of direct and indirect tax in the for the local entities in Brazil with the support of Tax Lead and Group.


Main responsibilities

• Local tax (direct and indirect) and support in tax structuring, both with regards to manage risk and optimize returns for projects in the development stage, but also existing projects
• Support in analysis for optimal funding instruments of project companies and operating companies in order to reduce trapped cash, FX exposure, tax exposure.
• Assist in transfer pricing activities, working closer with Tax Lead and with the Group Transfer Pricing team to ensure transfer pricing is considered in the structuring and ensure compliance on transfer pricing for your geographic area in the Scatec Group.
• Assist in monitoring general global compliance within the tax area
• Support in tax audits and tax controversy matters in your geographic area and respond together with Tax Lead to questions from the tax authorities
• Develop routines/policies/internal control (including operating system) within the tax area
• Monitor tax legislation in the countries Scatec is established and assess measures to optimize ongoing operations
• Provide technical support/advice and assistance on routines activities and tax local requirement performed internally or by an outsourcing company
• Perform activities in projects and ad hoc tasks in daily basis in coordination with outsourcing company, if applicable
• Assist/participate within the Finance and Control organization on matters unrelated to tax when the activity level allows

Qualifications and competencies

• Education: Graduate in Accounting, Law or Business, preferably with masters degree within finance/law
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience from working with tax matters and structuring
• Language: Up to intermediate in written and spoken English
