About the role

Responsabilities

• Carry out the requested analyze within the required deadlines.
  
  • Receive samples from scientists.
  • Analyze reaction monitoring.
  • Analyze and evaluate the purity of final products (LC, GC).
• Operate analytical instruments.
  
  • Start and stop the instruments (LC, MS, NMR).
  • Create an NMR page and empty the carousel.
  • Develop or update an analytical method (eluent, duration).
  • Detect and correct basic problems on instruments (leaks and obstructions).
  • Check control analyzes and detect problems.
  • Ensure that the analytical data is on the network.
• Perform basic maintenance on LC, GC and NMR. Perform basic diagnostics with Lab Advisor software.
  
  • Prepare and fill buffer solution bottles and manage waste.
  • Calibrate MS spectrometers when necessary.
• Participate in the daily operation of the analytical laboratory.
  
  • Prevent when raw material levels are low.
  • Diligently complete the required documentation.
  • Perform any other tasks related to activities that can help the supervisor.

Requirements

• DEC or equivalent (laboratory technique) in chemistry or any other related discipline.
• Experience with chromatography (LC and GC).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good relational skills.
• Has theoretical and practical knowledge of analysis techniques.
• Be able to briefly explain the results of your analysis to a scientist in detail.
• Bilingual (French and English). A good level of written and oral English is required to communicate effectively with our English speaking clients outside of Quebec.
