Our products include Pumpers, Tankers, Rescues, Mini Pumpers, and other fire-related apparatus. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Body Shop Technician to join our team and contribute to our tradition of excellence.
Job Description: We are looking for an Assistant Body Shop Technician to assist in the repair, maintenance, and assembly of custom fire truck bodies and components. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of body shop tools and techniques and a willingness to learn from experienced technicians. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, a good work ethic, and a commitment to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the repair and assembly of fire truck bodies and components.
• Help prepare surfaces for painting, sanding, and bodywork.
• Operate basic body shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support the senior technicians in maintaining and repairing vehicle exteriors, including aluminum and steel body structures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a body shop or mechanical environment is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians.
• Basic knowledge of body shop tools and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Good work ethic and a positive attitude.
