This Is You If:
- You have a basic understanding of tools and carpentry fundamentals with a positive, eager attitude
- You are ready to roll up your sleeves, work hard and kickstart your career in the construction industry
- You take on all tasks (big or small) with a smile on your face with the goal of producing the absolute best quality of work
- You are reliable. You show up and you're excited to get the job done
- You aren't afraid to ask questions or clarify instructions in order to complete the job right
- You’re excited to learn from others and you’re open to learning different approaches to tasks and projects; you understand the power of collaboration
- You are ready to learn how to anticipate what’s next and how to be a few steps ahead on the job site
- You thrive in a busy, team environment but also enjoy having the autonomy to work with limited supervision
- Supporting the teams with all aspects of the renovation construction process including demolition, structural framing, finishing, cleaning, organizing, buying and transporting materials
- Using small hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing devices, as well as equipment and materials applicable to the construction and carpentry trades
- Participating and demonstrating your understanding of safety principles and practices
- Maintaining and ensuring all work areas are clean and organized for safety and efficiency
- Learning from experienced and talented Lead Carpenters by taking direction and completing all assigned tasks
- Building a good rapport while working with all levels of the team from the Lead Carpenter to sub trades
- Enrolled in Carpenter Apprentices Program (any year)
- Basic knowledge of tools from previous work experience or personal projects
- Physically fit to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ability to climb ladders and navigate construction areas
- Must have a valid Canadian driver’s license
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Understanding of the Canadian and BC Building Code an asset

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
