We take adding to our team seriously by finding the right combination of DRIVE, SKILLS & ATTITUDE. Our Construction Team is growing, and we are looking for the next amazing Carpenter to join the MAC family.

This Is You If:
- You are a passionate artisan with experience and a solid understanding of residential construction
- You have the ability to take initiative, work independently with or without supervision
- You like to show up ready, get the job done and inspire those around you to do the same
- You have the ability to work across multiple job sites while staying focused and managing priorities in a calm manner
- You are curious, collaborative, and love working with your team
- You can pivot quickly from building mode to customer service mode as needed
- You are interested in building science and technology and how it relates to people’s homes
- You are excited by your work and a dream shopping spree to you is a Saturday at Lee Valley!
- Supporting the Lead Carpenter to maintain the progress of multiple projects, completing any required carpentry/labor tasks onsite
- Working on anything from demolition, cleaning, framing, finishing and more
- Working with Apprentices, Labourers and Sub Trades to achieve an exceptional standard of work
- Taking ownership for the sites you are on and flagging any issues with projects, instructions or materials
- Demonstrating safe workmanship daily and leading apprentices by example
- Anticipating the next steps of the project and how the team can work together to achieve them
- Working with a professional demeanor at all times, having the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
- Minimum 5 years experience working as a carpenter
- Experience in renovations and framing is an asset
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings, doing take-offs
- Strong experience with maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with standard company procedures, rules, and regulations
- Physically fit to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ability to climb ladders and navigate construction areas
- Understanding of the federal, provincial and municipal building codes
- Must own a reliable vehicle and have a valid Canadian driver’s license
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Experience supervising or leading a team an asset

Pay: $33.00-$37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
