We take adding to our team seriously and finding the right combination of DRIVE, SKILLS & ATTITUDE. At this time, our interior designer team is growing and we are looking for an Experienced Interior Designer to join the MAC family.

- Executing all phases of the design process from start to finish, including concept development, drawings, sourcing, selections and client presentations
- Managing client relationships throughout the design process in a professional and enthusiastic manner
- Working closely with team members to set project goals and directions
- Producing high-end design work, selecting finishes and managing established budgets for our valued clients
- Keeping everyone informed of timelines, changes and potential overruns to ensure client satisfaction and impeccable project execution is consistently delivered
- Managing and organizing schedules, timelines and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Educating clients on design feasibility from a cost and structural perspective
- Hosting regular client meetings as per the schedule agreed upon in the design agreement
- Producing 3D renderings to support the design concept and offer great visuals for clients
- Managing six (6) to eight (8) large design projects at any given time from the planning phase to the construction phase
- Developing and preparing presentation materials as required including preliminary designs, contract documents, and presentation materials
- Coordinating with construction and trades teams daily or as need to maintain open communication
- Maintaining sample log out sheet and accurate project files, records and project status reports
- Staging your design projects sometimes on your own and other times with the support of a Interior Design Coordinator
- Assist with marketing activities and project photography as required
- Mentoring and inspiring Junior Designers to grow their skills and abilities
- 5 + years of experience in interior design within the construction industry
- A university degree, college diploma or Certificate in Interior Design from a recognized institution
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with high-volume workload and the ability to stay focused while making sound decisions
- Strong knowledge of materials, application of finishes and colours
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership experience in managing teams and projects
- Excellent client service skills, with the ability to work in a diverse workforce
- High level of detail-orientation, time management and organizational skills
- Must own a reliable vehicle and have a valid Canadian driver’s license
- Strong experience with Chief Architect Google docs/sheets and PDF writers
- Knowledge of Builder Trend or similar project management tool
- Understanding of the BC Building Code (minimum 1 year)
- Experience with Vectorworks, Revit, Chief Architect “Premier” In Design, and Photoshop is an asset

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00-$37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- English (preferred)
- Driving Licence (required)
- Certificate in Interior Design from a recognized institution (required)
