Carte International is rapidly expanding and actively searching for Journeyman/women Millwrights to join our highly motivated team. The Millwright is responsible for equipment maintenance, corrective maintenance, maintenance & repair, preventive maintenance, trouble shooting problems, assisting in machine upgrades and capital projects, and industrial maintenance tasks on a day-to-day basis.
The successful candidate will have prior experience working in a manufacturing facility both independently and in a team -setting.
To be successful you will need:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Millwright with Interprovincial License.
• Must have completed apprenticeship training or equivalent and be qualified as a Millwright with an Interprovincial Red Seal.
• Possess a valid Manitoba drivers license.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations (preventative, corrective, restorative, Industrial Maintenance).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy environment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.

What you will Do:
The Millwright will maintain all equipment to required standards, be responsive to line calls, provide support for preventative and failure based maintenance as required by the facility needs. Install and maintain equipment and machinery using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools.

• Conduct routine inspections, perform preventative maintenance, repair, trouble shoot, install and maintain equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to PM Schedule.
• Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.
• Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform welding and flame cutting operations applicable to MIG, stick< oxy-acetylene, and plasma cutting.
• Perform metal fabrication operations including layout, drilling, tapping, sawing and grinding. Perform welding.
• Perform work at heights using scissor lift, articulated lift and ladders.
• Work during scheduled shutdown, shift work and overtime to accommodate scheduled maintenance maintenance.
• Recommends changes, modifications or up-grades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance.
• Demonstrates a strong team member attitude with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be on call on weekends on a rotational basis and must report in a reasonable time if called back to work.
